An Orthodox Viswakarma family hailed from Peringara near Thiruvalla to Thelliyoor in AD 1890. This family consisted of Sree Kochukunju a true goldsmith, his wife and 3 children (2 girls and a boy). The boy ovindan passionately called as Kochu Govindan took the responsibility of the family in his teenage.Kochu govindan at the age of 22 married a girl named Gowri from Narakathani about 3km away from Thelliyoor.Gowri gave birth to 8 children 4 boys and 4 girls. Second and third child died in their childhood. Other 6 children grew up and settled at different regions of India. Kochu Govindan though had only primary education was very intelligent. and a hard worker .He gave priority to the education of his children. All the six children had completed their matriculation and amongst them three went for higher education.
